Gradual Reopening of Driver Licensing Regional Office

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s regional driver licensing office in Frankfort has reopened with limited services. All other REAL ID offices remain closed until further notice. Initial/Renewal Application Fee for Non-U.S. Citizens & Religious Exemptions (Valid Without Photo)

Effective September 9, 2019, a $30.00 non-refundable application fee will be assessed for Non-U.S. citizens and individuals with photo-related religious exemptions applying for a permit, license, or ID card.

Update to IFTA Login Process

Beginning May 26th, 2020 all Kentucky IFTA IPC users will be required to log in using sign sing-on. Communication has been sent out to Kentucky IFTA users informing them of the upcoming changes.

Kentucky Special License Plate Changes

Changes to Kentucky’s current and future special license plates to take effect on December 30th, 2019 following House Bill 341. Select special license plates to require mandatory donation.
