REAL ID ENFORCEMENT DATED EXTENDED

Governor Andy Beshear announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has extended the REAL ID Act enforcement date by two years offering Kentuckians, and residents of other states, more time to request a compliant driving or identity credential that maintains air travel access and military base entry.

The enforcement date has been moved from May 3, 2023 to May 7, 2025.

Declaration of Emergency for Topical Storm Nicole

A Declaration of Emergency has been issued by Transportation Cabinet Secretary Jim Gray to exempt the hours of service and the stopping at all weigh stations imposed on commercial vehicles providing power restoration within the affected areas.

Eastern KY Flood Relief Support

Governor Andy Beshear has signed an executive order waiving replacement fees for driver’s licenses, permits and ID cards for flood-impacted residents of the following 13 counties: Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Owsley, Perry, Pike and Wolfe.
