Renew/Replace a Credential

No documents are required if the information on your current credential is still accurate.

Proof of identity document: (birth certificate, passport)
Proof of Social Security number: (first-time & out-of-state applicants MUST bring their Social Security card as proof)

Teen Driver

Reinstating a License

Confirm that you’ve met all reinstatement requirements and are eligible to have your license reinstated.
Please be prepared to pay a $40 reinstatement fee.
If your license has been suspended for more than one (1) year, you’ll need to retake the written and vision tests. Schedule your testing appointment through the Kentucky State Police website.
